NOTES
Scout to complete Requirement 1 a & b on his own before the end of the Personal Fitness Merit Badge course.

Aerobic – Run/walk 1 mile for time (will run in field behind church)

Strength - # of reps completed of each exercise in 60 seconds. 
Sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, squats. 
Core work – plank.  
Flexibility test
Homework: Complete #7
 Monday 9/22 6-6:30pmQuick Check before Troop MeetingQUICK CHECK - Check #7 to ensure that scout has completed outlining a fitness program.  Scout to begin 12 week fitness program.
 Monday 10/13 6-7pmClass (no Troop meeting) Discuss #4 in requirements.
Homework:  Scout to complete 3b, 3e, 3f, 3g
 Monday 10/20 6-6:30pmQuick Check before Troop Meeting Check homework from previous class and fitness program – ensure scout is continuing to complete exercises outlined in his fitness program and recording results.
 Monday 11/3 6-7pm Class (no Troop meeting) Discuss #5, #3a, #3c, #3d (calculate BMI – scout to know his weight and height)

Homework:  Scout to explore Choosemyplate.gov – create meal plan based on his information and follow meal plan for 3 days.  Scout to also complete #9.

 Monday 11/17 6 - 6:30pmQuick Check before Troop Meeting Check fitness program and meal plan.
 Monday 12/8 6-7pm Class (no Troop meeting) Final fitness test (same fitness test will be completed in Week 2 – scout to record results).  Discuss #9. Sign off on Merit Badge.
