January 23rd - 24th, 2016
This is a One Night Campout
This will be a fun 12 mile hike from Lake Clearwater in Paisley, to Alexander Springs, stopping in the middle of the Ocala Forest and making our own campsite! At the springs , we'll swim, snorkel,and go on an awesome canoe run, and come home that evening!
You'll need to do a lot of preparations including a Saturday morning bagged breakfast, a Sunday morning individual breakfast, backpack packing and another bag to pack just for Alexander springs.
Since this is a one night campout. there will be a bag/pack drop off on Friday night. Please read all information below carefully!
TO ATTEND THIS CAMPOUT SCOUTS (NOT PARENTS) MUST DO THE FOLLOWING 7 STEPS:
- INFORMATION SHEET - Print it, READ IT, and put it in your Troop notebook Use it to prepare/pack for the trip.
- PERMISSION FORM - Print it, have your parents sign it, and bring it to the Troop Meeting with payment on January 11th.
- BACKPACKING HELPFUL HINTS - Print this and put it in your Troop Notebook (updated for this trip). Note: You can find this any time in scouts-> documents.
- TRAIL MAP (click) - This custom Troop 337 Map shows points of interest on our journey. Please print this and bring it with you, as well as a compass!
- PACKING LIST (PDF) - If you already have a personal packing list, GREAT! If not, download this EDITABLE PACKING LIST , and customize it, and save it to your computer.
- PATROL MENUS - Patrol Leaders, Chief Cooks, and Grumbaster may go to the Patrol Menu Page to Edit (PL and Chief Cooks), and View (Grubmasters) the Patrol Menus.
- The Secret Word is "Springy" - If you tell anyone else, or anyone else tells you (including parents), you are disqualified from it.
- CAMPOUT AGENDA - Please Print & Bring on Campout
