Saturday & Sunday, January 25th and 26th, from 10am-6pm, our Troop will be doing a Community Service Project to help raise money for re-building Dragon Point! I’d like every scout to serve at least one shift if at all possible. WHATS ARE WE DOING? – We are the ONLY kid entertainment at the Fair. Scouts will be helping the kids do a jousting game using our horses on wheels, and helping them shoot mini-catapults! WHAT IS AT THE FAIR? – Check out the website Dragon Festival Website for full details, but they will have:
WHO CAN GO? - Scouts who are working a shift (and sign up by Wednesday night), get in for Free! Parents, friends, and family members are welcome to come, but must pay admission (goes to a good cause though). You can pay at the gate, or buy tickets in advance HERE. Cost is $6 for 12 and under, and $10 for 13 and up. CAN SCOUTS ENJOY THE FESTIVAL? - YES! Scouts working a shift (who signed up before Wednesday night) can make arrangements to stay before or after their shift, and to enjoy the festival for free. They need to go around with a buddy (or paying parent), and make pickup time arrangements with their parents. Bring money for some activities, and if you want to get food, they'll have plenty of vendors there. WHAT TO WEAR? - Wear your Activity Uniform. If it's cold, do your best to wear long scout pants or green pants. IF YOU HAVE MEDIEVAL GARB, please wear it on top. Even if you have only a few accessories, please bring them. FOOD? - There are plenty of vendors there, or, you can buy a ticket for a Kings Feast on Saturday or Sunday night! Tickets can be purchased ahead of time HERE. Jousters & Lancers!
