On Monday, May 10th at 6:30PM, we will have a Kick Off Meeting for the Cooking Merit Badge.  In order to attend the class, you need to REGISTER HERE.

ABOUT THE COOKING MERIT BADGE - Note, the silver lining on the badge, that means this is now the 13th EAGLE REQUIRED badge, which means it's more difficult, and super  important!

WHAT'S THE CLASS LIKE?   During this class, you will study how to safely handle and store food, how to plan a menu, and how to cook.  The class will involve multiple half day meetings just to learn and to practice cooking.   There will be home work assignments involving planning and cooking at home as well.  See the merit badge requirements HERE.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?  Classes will be held throughout the summer, generally on Mondays or Thursdays, at times that everyone can attend.  In addition to classroom meetings, there will be 2 or 3 half day cooking sessions (fun) on Saturdays.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS MERIT BADGE?  We suggest mostly older scouts take this badge.   Also, if you take this class, you must be willing to do all of the homework, attend all classes, and attend all cooking sessions.    This is not a class that 1st year Scouts are allowed to take.

WHO IS TEACHING THE CLASS? - We have put together an awesome team of experienced cooks to teach this class:
